Elevating Underserved Communities Abroad

Amalfi Primary School Initiative

In Tanzania, school is more than a building.

School is where students seek shelter. Where they get possibly their only meal of the day. Where they learn, grow, and socialize. We recognize the impact of education goes further in an underserved community outside Arusha.

In Tanzania, only 58% of the country's students complete primary school, and only 28% complete secondary school (Tanzania Education Corp).

The Amalfi Foundation is building a primary school from the ground up to lift an entire Tanzanian community out of an “educational desert,” shifting and progressing the lives of hundreds of citizens. We are looking forward to breaking ground in 2024.

Our Plan

We plan to be breaking ground to build the primary school in 2024. We will be purchasing all supplies, funding the teachers' salaries, ensuring safe transportation, and providing meals to all students.

Our Impact

Our primary school that we're building in Tanzania will serve 90 children from the local Maasai tribe. Currently, the area only has a pre-primary school that covers daycare and kindergarten education, and one small public school that can only accommodate a small subsect of the community.

Our Future

Our goal is to build a secondary school and an advanced-secondary school (which is the equivalent to a high school in the United States) in the subsequent 2-3 years.
