About Us

Mission

We’re big believers in humanity’s power to do more, together. When you look at most of the situations that underserved and low-income individuals find themselves in, it’s often the current policies and economic systems that keep them stagnent.

Working relentlessly to solve these problems, our focus is always at getting down to the underlying problem of people’s situations. While we partner with various organizations that aim to alleviate situations, we aim to tackle the main challenge of solving the underlying situation at the root of the problem rather than provide temporary assistance. We’re big believers that everyone deserves a clear path to success and happiness, while being able to stand on their own two feet.

Therefore, the focus of our mission is to work directly with underserved individuals one-on-one to provide the necessary support, guidance, and literacy to help turn their situations around from the ground up. Depending on the situation, this can be a financial literacy course, career training and job placement, or, on a global scale, the direct funding and building of a primary school where one did not exist.

Our mission is simple, to uplift underserved individuals around the world by focusing on solving the underlying problem.

Our Approach

We recognize that solving the underlying problem is much easier said than done. That said, through our strategic partnerships with ancillary organizations, we can truly make progress on our endeavors and continue to provide one-on-one direct support to each of the individuals that we help, while also working at and attacking the root of the problem.

Here’s an example, through our Local Community Development Initiative (LCDI), we partner with Harbor House Thousand Oaks, a social service agency in our community that provides rental assistance and hot meals to homeless and low-income individuals every day. Through our partnership with our aligned organization, we extend their impact and receive referrals on individuals that are in need. Our LCDI takes the impact of Harbor House a step further by covering six months of rent and six months of all living expenses for these individuals. They are then paired with an AF Case Manager, AF Financial Advisor, and AF Career Consultant. Our team meets weekly with the individual to review financial literacy and financial planning, career trajectory and resume build-outs, and a personalized check-in on their goals for next six months. By covering all six months of expenses, individuals are able to save all income, utilize our financial consultants to prepare for their future, and chart out a clear path forward. Our Case Managers check-in weekly at our scheduled meetings to ensure all milestones are being met and the individuals planned path is on schedule.

Basic Needs

At the core of elevating underserved communities is ensuring that each individual has the basic needs of food, water, health, security, and economic stability available. Through our initiatives we always ensure Basic Needs are met.

Community Development

Community Development means an opportunity to succeed, be financially secure, and be constantly growing as an individual. We work one on one with our individuals to ensure we get to the root of the problem.
